Mongolian Death Worm

An oversized blood red worm from the Gobi Desert with frightening acid and electricity.

The Mongolian Death Worm, also known by "Allghoi khorkhoi" in Mongolian for its resemblance to cow innards, is a 2-5 foot long blood-red worm. It's said to live in the Gobi Desert, particularly close to the Chinese-Mongolian border. Only when it rains- an extreme rarity- do the worms typically come to the surface.

The creature is held in much fear for its purported ability to spit acidic venom and kill from a distance with electrical shocks. The acid specifically is said to turn any victim yellow as it eats through them, which ties into another strange quirk of the Death Worm- it hates the colour yellow. Anyone wearing yellow will be outright attacked.

There's much speculation on what kind of creature it actually is, with many believing it to be a type of snake or other limbless serpent. There are worms that grow that big, but it's extremely unlikely to be an ordinary worm considering the lack of moisture. This also throws its supposed electrical abilities into question.

Numerous groups have attempted to pursue the elusive worms, especially in recent years, though this is to little luck. Such hunts are usually conducted by sensationalist television programs or cryptozoologists, of whom the productivity in regards to finding concrete evidence can very much be brought into doubt.
