Pretty Face
Pretty Face consists of two images showcasing a subtly inhuman pale face.
The first image is stolen from the final image on the Solar Plexus Clown Glider website, which is now defunct.
Pretty Face got its start as a shock image in forums and imageboards, named after the filename accompanying it.
Interestingly, compared to where it came from, the images in this collection aren't claimed to hurt one's mind or haunt them in any way. In spite of this, many users tend to have an extreme reaction of fear when they see it, or claim that the image makes them uncomfortable for a reason unable to be properly described.
A second Pretty Face appeared in 2004 on some international forums very briefly before quickly spreading almost entirely to paranormal sites such as ours, not spreading nearly as much. Due to the place of origin, it's not impossible that the image is being circulated on a foreign side of the internet, but you'll be hard pressed if anyone in our community is going to bother sifting through the mess that is a language barrier to chase a goose that might not exist.
The new image seems to be a picture of someone's face with some of the features from the grotesque original edited in, especially the eyes and upper teeth.
You would think with how different the image is that the eerily consistent claims of the image feeling strangely upsetting would stop, but they haven't. If anything, they may have increased. Many web pages like ours are covering this solely because of how on edge it's making people feel. Of course, you also have a good amount of people taking the piss and trolling over it, because objectively it looks kind of dumb. Let us know if you feel it on the forum, I genuinely don't know how I feel about it. It's certainly really interesting whenever a picture like this comes around.
