Found off-site by user 1994crowbsmash on a personal blog. Individual claims they saw a shadowy man in a hat standing in front of but facing away from the window of a nearby house. While they remember taking the walk and seeing the Hat Man, they don't remember taking the picture. They found this on an otherwise normal disposable camera when they went to develop it at a Wal-Mart.

Unknown, off-site origin. Passed around as a cursed image. Shadow person out near the horizon. This one makes me feel a little gross, like it was taken somewhere other than the world of the living.

Okay okay okay this is actually really exciting!! I've been looking forward to this compilation for forever since this stuff is the whole reason I'm even here in the first place! I'm gonna try my best to keep things brief for this, but if you have any questions then feel free to ask on the forums! Anyway, from ages I wanna sayyy 12-16, I had this really nice recurring dream where I was wandering around what was sort of my home town but more nature-y. It always placed me at about six or seven o'clock in the evening after a school day, it always felt like a Thursday in particular, and it always felt as though it were May, and everything was always just so beautiful. I'd be going around taking polaroid photos of all sorts of things -- crickets, distant dogs down the street, flowers, the massive tree in the field behind the school -- and there'd be someone with me. A friend, I felt, though not one I could ever define. They spoke with me in a familiar but unplaceable voice and they were always pacing along somewhere behind me, though I never bothered to turn around to see them. They were kind and gentle and when the day settled into a comfortably warm night we parted ways to each walk home and wake up. I didn't have this dream often, two or three times a year maybe, and always at seemingly random times. The things I photographed changed, but the general "plot" had little deviation or excitement. That is until the final time I had this dream (so far), the night before the last day of school that year... Things started about the same, but much lonelier. The sun was nearing set and there was no chirping of crickets, no dogs barking down the block, no distant traffic, just the breeze through the trees and the humming warmth of green-boxed transformers. I'm writing this as if it were a really scary switch up, but it actually wasn't scary at all!! I liked it, it's like those refreshing periods where you get some quiet time to think but don't really think of a whole lot.

Anyway, I found him at a spread of trees near a creek. He blended into the darkness so well that my eyes almost didn't catch him, but I somehow knew he was there before I even looked. It was the first time I'd seen another human being in this dream, and it would be the second time I heard one speak -- but this voice I knew. Not that I recognized it, but rather that I could immediately place his unusual cadence if I were to hear it again, unlike with my companion.

"It's getting late."

"It's my favorite time of day."

"The end of it."

"..."

"One day, all of this is going to change. You will return to this place and you won't even recognize it."

"The dream?" (I had never been aware of the fact that I was dreaming before...)

"The not-dream."

"What do you mean?"

"All the intersections you know will be redesigned. Streets renamed. Houses reconstructed. There will be nobody left to remember you because all of the old faces will be replaced."

"Where did they go?"

"Somewhere the sun isn't setting."

"...It's getting late."

"Won't you make it home this time?"

I wanted to leave, but I found I couldn't recall even the direction of home... I finally felt that this space of mine had been deeply intruded. I didn't know what else to do except take a photo, I thought it'd make things last longer. When night finally fell and I couldn't make out the trees against the black sky, I woke up, and I haven't had the dream since. A few years later in 2005, while going through some old family keepsakes my mom had kept in the attic since before I was born, I found a collection of polaroid photographs taken by all sorts of family members. Looking through them, I found the photos, the ones I had been taking in my dreams. I remembered them so vividly... including the last one I took. Of him. It was the most bizarre and exciting thing I've ever experienced in my life! My mom suggested I look into it online and make some posts and, well... here I am now!

In a way that's hard to articulate, I feel that dream and experience gave me a new sort of appreciation for life, for the magic it holds... there's so much more than meets the eye and I think it's a shame how few people allow themselves the open-mindedness to envelope themselves in it. There's a whole other world out there, somewhere the sun isn't setting. I really hope I can help people make it there.

Posted recently by a forum user. Claimed to see a figure pressed against a slit window while doing urban exploration. A foreboding presence seemed to surround them the whole time they were there, just barely seeming out of reach. They got a sense of overwhelming malice from it. Kind of looks like nothing to me, though.

"Me and my friend were out camping up in Northern Alberta. I don't remember where near, we both had a bunch of time off work and decided to drive north of Edmonton and see where the road takes us that wasn't ranch land. We were out longer than we should've been due to being stupid and indecisive. Both of us were exhausted. Then I just... See this guy, out there. On the road. Middle of no-where. Looked like a blur to me at the time, freaked me the hell out. I just started screaming and screaming, but my buddy wasn't responding. Sitting there with this vacant look on his face. At the last second, buddy swerved hard, should've hit him. Didn't feel anything. He hit a tree and totaled the fuckin' truck. Looked for the guy, nothing. No body. No pulp. No sound. It was unbelievably silent. Had to walk several kilometers in the dark along that road til we finally reached the shittiest gas station ever seen. At least they let us use their land line. Had this disposable camera I was using to take note of our trip and I guess I snapped one of the guy at the last second, 'cause I found this on there later. That's reason enough to believe as any. Got me into the paranormal more than anything else."
